Hi! I'm Edin.
The Garden of Edin started from a simple place. My love for creativity, learning, and doing life alongside my
kids. Before this chapter of life, I was a music teacher and always loved the challenge of finding new and
exciting ways to help kids learn and experience something new.
When it came time to send my own kids to school, I realized I wanted something a little different for our
family. That decision eventually led us into homeschooling and opened up a whole new world of creativity and curiosity for me.
Homeschooling has given me the freedom to explore new ways of learning and to turn everyday moments into opportunities for discovery. Some days that looks like a science experiment at the kitchen table.

Other days it is a walk around our yard collecting leaves, watching bugs, or noticing something new in nature that turns into a learning moment.
I love the challenge of finding fun and creative ways to help kids learn. Over time I’ve become especially passionate about early childhood learning and how powerful hands on experiences can be for building foundational skills in math, literacy, science, creativity, and problem solving.

Many of the activities you will see here started as ideas I tried with my own kids first. They are designed to support early childhood development while still keeping learning play ful, creative, and engaging.
The Garden of Edin has grown into a place where I share those ideas with other families and teachers. Around here you will find hands on play based activities, crafts, science experiments, math and literacy ideas, printable resources, and plenty of coffee along the way.
My hope is that the ideas you find here help make learning feel joyful, creative, and inspiring for the kids in your life.
